The MMX Performance intercooler is a substantial cooling upgrade for F-Series MINIs running the Cooper S or Cooper S JCW powertrains. The factory intercooler is one of the first thermal limits a tuned B46/B48 MINI hits, once charge-air temps climb, timing pulls and power drops on every successive run. This intercooler resolves that.

The tube-and-fin stepped core delivers nearly double the core volume of the OE unit, with a 70% increase in frontal area. That extra cooling capacity translates to substantially lower charge-air temperatures both at sustained throttle and on back-to-back pulls, the kind of conditions where the OE cooler thermally saturates first.

The real-world impact is heat-soak resistance. On a stock car you preserve consistent power across multiple runs; on a tuned car you unlock the headroom to actually use the boost the tune is requesting, without timing pull masking the gains. It is the foundational piece for any meaningful F-MINI tune.
