The Karbonius M3 CSL (S54) Carbon Airbox Heat Shield Kit is purpose-designed to reduce intake air temperature inside the S54 CSL-style airbox, improving engine combustion efficiency and protecting the heat-sensitive carbon airbox from sustained engine bay temperatures. This is the definitive thermal management accessory for any S54 build running a Karbonius CSL Carbon Airbox, Race Carbon Airbox, or the BMW OEM CSL airbox.

The kit comprises 14 precision CNC-cut pieces of self-adhesive aluminized fiberglass that together cover the full base of the airbox with zero gaps — all pieces overlap to ensure complete coverage. Installation requires no tools and is straightforward for any enthusiast. The self-adhesive backing withstands direct temperatures of 250°C, while the aluminized fiberglass substrate withstands temperatures up to 600°C. Every piece is manufactured at Karbonius' facility in Spain under ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards and is individually numbered for authenticity.

At just 150 grams, this kit adds virtually no weight while delivering meaningful protection against heat soak in the intake path.
