Compared to the factory BMW metal shroud, the updated Karbonius version removes additional weight while delivering a more aggressive, motorsport-inspired appearance in the engine bay.
Manufactured from premium pre-preg carbon fiber, this cooling shroud replaces the original metal unit with a lighter, stronger, and more visually refined alternative. The 2×2 twill carbon weave is designed to integrate seamlessly with OEM M Performance carbon components, creating a cohesive OEM+ look in both gloss and matte finishes.
Designed, prototyped, and manufactured entirely in Spain, Karbonius applies motorsport-level craftsmanship and material standards to every component. The result is a precision-engineered cooling shroud that enhances the performance-focused design language of the G8X platform while maintaining OEM-quality fitment.
