"Appropriately Engineered Street and Track Builds." That beginning of the tagline from E-Motion Engineering's Instagram profile just about tells you everything you need to know about their goals. Their builds have a specific aim and so their projects are carried out with the correct assortment of parts and tuning to accomplish exactly what the car needs to accomplish; whether it be a weekend warrior or an all-out racecar.
Now west coast Porsche enthusiasts are likely familiar with E-Motion as a race prep shop—with IND's close relationship to Fall-Line Motorsports, it's no secret that we enjoy partnering with top tier race shops that not only deal with the best performing components available, but are a wealth of development and engineering knowledge—and it's safe to say that what Fall-Line is to BMW, E-Motion is to Porsche.
E-Motion is known for having relationships with some of the best manufacturers and suppliers in the business to be able to supply only the best products for their local builds. Not only that, but they are also experts in chassis tuning with years of race experience. However, what they've really "embedded in their fingernails" is Porsche suspension engineering. Their suspension expertise is unmatched and their engineering has lead to a suite of parts that we're extremely happy to announce is now available at IND!
Suspension Arms:
The E-Motion team has spent countless sleepless nights tweaking parts design and suspension setups (both at Pikes Peak and out on the road), so it's safe to say that suspension design and tuning are at the core of their hearts. They simply have more experience than anyone else in the business and they've put it to good use with the creation of a complete suite of suspension arms for Porsche GT and non-GT models.
All their suspension arms are manufactured using military-spec hard anodized aluminum with the largest stainless steel aurora bearings that can fit each application, as well as anti-corrosion treated studs where applicable. All that equates to strength and durability where you need it most, combined with the low friction and free movement that a spherical bearing provides.
Drop Links, Steering, and Bearings
Spherical bearings offer several advantages over traditional rubber bushings in drop links and suspension and steering arms. These bearings allow for a greater range of motion and articulation, which helps to improve handling and reduce binding. They also provide a more direct and precise feel, giving you greater control over your vehicle. Additionally, any time you upgrade to spherical bearings, you're adding significantly more durability than that of rubber bushings and they can withstand the rigors of high-performance driving and the race track.
Spring Packages:
Relying on years of race experience, there are few better resources available than E-Motion Engineering when it comes to choosing an aftermarket spring package for your Porsche. Utilizing only high quality Swift springs, E-Motion has provided a complete package with custom spring adapters for GT2 / GT3 / RS models.
Misc Kits:
And to keep things well-rounded, E-Motion even developed products for their off-road cruiser in the 958 Cayenne Overland. As such, they developed nifty front and rear lift spacers in order to add clearance for larger, more aggressive off-road tires. The spacers work within the specs of the factory suspension geometry as to not cause any unnecessary wear.
