The MMX Performance high-flow chargepipe kit is the definitive boost pipe upgrade for S55-powered F-chassis M-Cars. The factory plastic chargepipes are the most common boost-related failure on the M2 Competition, M3 F80 and M4 F82/F83, under increased boost pressure they crack and split, dumping power and triggering codes. This kit eliminates that failure point.
The aluminum pipework is smooth-bore and mandrel-bent from a single piece, with a constant internal diameter throughout. That replaces the flattened, geometry-compromised OE pipes, both improving airflow and ensuring the pipes hold their shape under boost or vacuum, which is the other failure mode of the OEM units.
The result, on the road or at the strip, is more consistent boost delivery, sharper throttle response, and the reliability headroom to run elevated power outputs without nursing the boost pipework. The constant internal diameter is what allows tuned S55s to deliver clean, repeatable boost numbers.
Each pipe is finished in a durable crinkle-black with laser-etched MMX logo detailing for a clean, OE-quality engine bay appearance. Installation is a straightforward direct-replacement job (no cutting, no permanent modification) and 1/8" pre-tapped bungs on each pipe make adding methanol or water injection later a bolt-on affair.
