The Karbonius E9X M3 (S65) Carbon Inlet Plenum — Race is Karbonius' most focused intake solution for the S65 V8 — a standalone carbon plenum designed specifically for motorsport applications where custom intake routing is already in place. Where BMW never developed a carbon plenum for the S65 as they did for the S54 CSL, Karbonius engineered this Race Plenum using modern 3D and 2D flow analysis to optimize the air volume and internal geometry that feeds the engine — resulting in improved engine efficiency and a power gain.
The exclusive design minimizes internal turbulence while maximizing the volumetric efficiency of the naturally aspirated V8. Beyond the power benefit, the Karbonius Race Plenum delivers a dramatic induction sound and transforms the appearance of the S65 engine bay with motorsport-grade carbon fiber construction.
Manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fiber in 2x2 twill weave and autoclave-cured in Spain under ISO 9001 quality management standards, the plenum is paired with CNC machined aluminum components for precision fitment. Optional OEM ///M and V8 badges are available and are not included as standard.
