The Evolve Shock Absorber Set for the BMW i3 and i3S was developed in partnership with Bilstein UK over a two-year testing and development program. Using Evolve's own BMW i3S development vehicle, the goal was to address one of the platform's most common characteristics: a ride that can feel unsettled on uneven and undulating road surfaces.
Working closely with Bilstein, Evolve refined the internal damper valving to improve overall chassis control while enhancing ride comfort and handling confidence. The result is a suspension package that delivers improved composure, greater stability over imperfect roads, and a more controlled driving experience without sacrificing everyday usability.
Unlike many suspension upgrades that prioritize outright performance, the Evolve dampers were engineered to improve both comfort and handling. The revised valving helps better manage body movement while maintaining the refined ride quality expected from a daily-driven vehicle.
The dampers are fully compatible with factory BMW springs as well as aftermarket lowering springs. For customers seeking a complete suspension solution, Evolve's own lowering springs provide an approximate 25mm drop on the BMW i3 and 15mm drop on the BMW i3S while maintaining excellent ride quality.
