What is the warranty?
This oil cooler is covered by a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, to the original purchaser of the vehicle in which it was installed.
Does installation require modification?
No. It is a drop-in fit that accepts all attaching OEM components including the oil-line connections, mounting brackets and shroud / ducting. It is the only cooler available for the platform today that requires no cutting of the shroud.
How is it built differently to the factory cooler?
Fully TIG-welded cast end tanks in place of the OEM mechanically jointed and tack-welded design, with a turbulated heavy-duty bar and plate core. The tapered cast end tanks follow the contour of the OEM bumper, so aftermarket splitter attachment is unaffected.
Who developed it?
CSF designed and developed this cooler in collaboration with high-performance supercharger system manufacturer VF Engineering.
Which factory part does it replace?
BMW part number 17212284075.
