What is the warranty?
This cooler is covered by a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, to the original purchaser of the vehicle in which it was installed.
Does installation require modification?
No. It is a drop-in fit that accepts all attaching OEM components including the oil-line connections, mounting brackets and AC condenser. CSF describe it as the world's first true plug-and-play power steering cooler for the E9X M3 platform.
How much more efficient is it?
Lab tested at approximately 40% more efficient than the OEM cooler. It replaces the OEM low-efficiency mechanically bonded core with a CAB-brazed high-efficiency plate-type design, using a 1-row super-high-pressure 18mm wide 4-channel microtube in a dual-pass 6-row layout, for an 83% increase in surface area over the factory unit.
Will it clear my supercharger or auxiliary coolers?
Yes. The cooler is 83mm (3.27 inches) taller than the OEM unit, and that increase is designed towards the top of the cooler from the OEM position, so it works with any aftermarket supercharger, heat exchanger or auxiliary cooler placed underneath the OEM power steering cooler location.
