BMW Flange Sealant L-5970 - 50ml
BMW Flange Sealant L-5970 is genuine BMW LOCTITE 5970 black RTV sealant specified by BMW in place of traditional gaskets on a range of applications. BMW L-5970 is suitable for flanges, metal or plastic stamped pans and covers; including differential covers, oil pans, and timing covers. It provides strong sealing performance at high temperatures, oil and coolant resistance, and maintains a flexible seal in high-vibration environments. Sets in 25 minutes.
BMW does not offer oil pan gaskets on several current engine families, nor differential covers. The manufacturer specifies the use of L-5970 black RTV for these applications. Using the genuine BMW-specified sealant ensures the correct formulation and cure properties for these assemblies.
