Burkhart Engineering E46 M3 CSL Airbox Snorkel - Round Inlet

The factory M3 CSL snorkel comes with a triangular inlet that is meant to connect to a bespoke CSL elbow duct that's part of the CSL's front bumper air intake design. This Burkhart Engineering E46 M3 CSL Airbox Snorkel (replaces OEM CSL part number 11617833498) comes with a round inlet instead and is a high-performance upgrade designed to accomplish 3 goals:

1. Run an OE-Style CSL inlet snorkel without the failure-prone OE intake flap.
2. Makes it easier to connect OEM-style CSL Carbon Airboxes with the standard M3 front bumpers air inlet that comes off the driverside brake duct.
3. If running a CSL-style front bumper, this snorkel allows users to use a custom round intake hose solution to connect the CSL airbox to the front bumper intake hole; without relying on the bespoke CSL front bumper elbow duct.

Developed using precise 3D scans of the genuine OE plastic CSL snorkel, Burkhart’s version is produced in 3D-printed PA-CF (carbon fiber reinforced nylon). This material offers excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability, ensuring consistent performance under demanding conditions.

Both the standard M3 and M3 CSL route fresh intake air from the front bumper: the CSL through a single engine-only air intake hole in the front bumper while the standard M3 draws air from the factory fog light/brake duct area.

This round snorkel inlet allows users to more easily connect a custom round intake hose to either the CSL bumper intake hole or standard M3's driverside brake duct air inlet which reduces intake air temperatures and avoids drawing in hot air from the engine bay. The result is cooler, denser air feeding your S54, improving efficiency and performance.
