Individual San Marino F80 from IND
It seems that with each passing year, the powers that be at BMW are more aware for their client’s desire for individual expression. The BMW Individual program itself is more accessible now than ever before, and BMW is complimenting that lineup with BMW Performance components.
Our client is no stranger to personalized M cars, and consulted with me prior to ordering his M3. We knew that certain components would be added to his M3 the moment it arrived, and BMW’s Individual program helped us to better integrate those components with custom touches directly from BMW.
The beautiful San Marino Blue M3 arrived at IND in late fall, directly from a European Delivery trip to the Nurburgring. After being tested at the legendary race course in stock form, this M3 was dropped off at IND’s facility for some basic stage 1 modifications. We installed a set of yellow Brembo brakes with a custom set of “classic” style logos on each caliper, and slipped 12mm Macht Schnell spacers over the brakes. A BMW Performance trunk spoiler, diffuser, and custom fitted side skirts gave us a starting point for the exterior, and a BMW Performance steering wheel with yellow stripe compliments the BMW Individual yellow stitched interior perfectly. The driver’s controls all include M tri color stitch- the steering wheel is supplied by BMW and the shift and ebrake boot are hand-stitched items from IND. An IND cosmetic pack eliminated the unsightly chrome and orange from the outside of the car, while the Fall Line skid plate and some snow tires complete the winter driving package.
After this upcoming winter we will revisit this San Marino M3’s modifications, to complete the car and add to this first stage. Stay tuned!
