With the release of the new G90 and G99 M5, we wanted to reduce the amount of guess work and time researching to see what spacer sizing is recommended, so we went ahead and tested all the options for you with our latest G90 M5 spacer prototypes.
As we've done for each new M car release, but also considering the confusion and early misinformation regarding the new M5's wheel specs, we set out to create a comprehensive resource for new G90/G99 M5 owners looking for spacer and wheel fitment.

With BMW introducing a brand-new bolt pattern for the G90 M5, IND immediately contacted our longtime partner Fall-Line to get to work on a bespoke spacer designed specifically for the G9X platform and potential future models. Our collaboration ensures that this spacer is engineered to the highest standards, considering both performance and compatibility.
Additionally, the same renowned characteristics found in the FC spacers—such as precision machined pocketing, hub-centric design, and secure hub-mounting provisions—will carry over into the G9X M5 spacer to maintain the level of excellence you expect.

Spacers are similar to aftermarket wheels with regard to opinions; everyone has different preferences and tolerances. At IND, our goal is to achieve a wheel and tire fitment that is flush to the edge of the fender with minimal poke which we feel is best achieved with 12mm spacers front and rear. However, for the G90, it may also be helpful to factor in the type of tires your vehicle came equipped with when trying to achieve a specific look, though the difference is slight.
Vehicles delivered with:
- Hankook tires may appear to have a slightly more rim-edge "poke" due to a more pronounced built-in rim protector, but a much more rounded sidewall with narrower tread.
- Michelins should see a slightly fuller look due to the more squared shoulders and marginally wider tread block.
- Pirelli tires have a similar profile to the Hankooks, but have a slightly smaller section width so may fall somewhere in between.
