As BMW enthusiasts, the Z8 has always held a special place in our hearts. It’s one of those rare BMW models that carried a premium from the day it was released and has only grown in value ever since. When the Eventuri team completed R&D and announced their new Z8 intake system, we were eager to experience it firsthand. Recently, a local owner brought in his Z8 with fewer than 22,000 original miles for the installation here at IND. The result did not disappoint. The S62 engine’s induction note, enhanced by the Eventuri system, is intoxicating. It brings a modern edge to the sound of a BMW classic.
Performance Improvements
The Eventuri Z8 intake builds upon the well-designed OEM airbox by increasing overall volume and reshaping the airbox lids. These new carbon fiber lids, complete with integrated MAF tubes, optimize airflow by reducing restrictions and eliminating areas of stagnation. This ensures the panel filters are utilized more effectively, leading to sharper throttle response and improved performance.
While the OEM airbox base already features a smart cold-air feed extending behind the front bumper, Eventuri has taken it further. Their system enhances this design with smoother, flexible intake hoses that minimize turbulence and allow for a more consistent, uninterrupted flow of air. Across driving conditions, that reduction in turbulence translates into measurable performance gains.
