To commemorate the 50th anniversary of BMW M, the factory released a limited-run heritage Roundel and center cap set, available only for vehicles produced during that model year. For most enthusiasts, identifying the correct heritage Roundel for their car can be a challenge, often involving trial and error. At IND, we eliminate that guesswork by offering VIN-matched sets designed to fit the G90 and G99 M5 precisely. Each set includes front and rear heritage Roundels, along with optional matching center caps.
But we didn’t stop there. Since BMW did not produce floating heritage center caps, we developed our own in-house version using genuine BMW floating cores. These exclusive caps retain factory functionality while delivering a clean, heritage-inspired look—something no one else in the market offers.

Much like our painted Roundels, the IND Carbon Fiber Roundel Set is a true labor of love. Each piece is built from a brand-new, VIN-matched OEM Roundel or center cap, and meticulously finished in-house by our paint technicians.
The process begins with hand-laying carbon fiber onto each Roundel, ensuring precise alignment and flawless texture. Once the carbon is in place, the emblem is carefully masked and painted with BMW’s factory gloss black (paint code 668) along the outer edge.
After curing, the technician removes all masking and applies a final layer of high-gloss clear coat to seal the finish and protect the carbon surface. This multi-step process delivers the perfect blend of OEM fitment and custom craftsmanship.

What sets the Black Series apart is its precise balance of custom black paintwork and preserved OEM chrome detailing. Our paint team carefully hand-tapes each Roundel and center cap to protect the original chrome outline—an incredibly delicate process due to the small scale of the part. Even the slightest paint bleed renders a piece unusable, which is why we currently see about a 30% rejection rate during production. It’s a challenge, but that’s what defines an IND product—if it’s easy, it’s not for us. When a piece passes our strict quality control process, it’s hand-polished in-house to achieve a flawless, high-gloss finish. The end result: a truly custom, OEM+ Roundel that maintains its original BMW part number and factory core, combining stealth aesthetics with authentic fitment.
