Bimmer Invasion 2026 West Palm Beach: IND Recap

Bimmer Invasion 2026 West Palm Beach: IND Recap

Ryan Morgan

Bimmer Invasion 2026 in West Palm Beach just wrapped up last weekend. Now that we’re back home at IND and settling into the normal rhythm, we’ve finally had a moment to reflect.

Every year, the lead-up to the show brings a certain level of chaos, and this year was no different. But instead of simply bringing our usual shop cars, we wanted to push things further. We wanted to build something that meant more.

A few months out, we made the decision to bring back our F87 M2 15 Year Anniversary build. This isn’t just another project car. It’s one that helped shape our identity in the BMW aftermarket, a car that’s been with us through countless shows, and one we could never part with. Over the past few years, it shifted into a quieter role as Ryan O’s backup track car, sitting mostly behind the scenes.

Then came the opportunity.

We knew Alex at Alpha-N was developing new tooling in Germany for the F87 platform, and that was all it took. The spark was back. This was our chance to bring the OG M2 N55 build forward again at a completely different level.

Alpha-N’s new Corse line delivered exactly what we were looking for: a pre-preg carbon front grille, vented hood, and a motorsport-grade fully adjustable front splitter. The challenge was timing. The splitter was scheduled to arrive just 24 hours before the cars had to be loaded for transport to Florida.

In true IND fashion, timelines got tight. Stress levels were high, and every hour mattered. But once the car came together, it made every bit of that pressure worth it.

To bring everything into a cohesive look, we refinished all exterior carbon in a matte frozen clear, aligning it with our IND G87 M2 project car. The result was a clean, uniform finish that elevated the entire presence of the car without overcomplicating it.

We completed the build with BBS RT-88 wheels in a gold face and a JQ Madtrace GEN2 Podium Line steering wheel, tying together heritage and modern motorsport influence in a way that felt intentional.

On our G87 M2, a car many would consider finished, we pushed things even further. We added the all-new Karbonius carbon rear closeout and 6-speed CSL center console, both designed and manufactured in Spain. Nothing about this install was simple. The rear closeout had to be custom trimmed to work with our Alpha-N roll bar, requiring precision work to ensure it looked factory once installed. The process took 12 days to complete and demanded careful planning to integrate everything seamlessly.

We also secured the very first Alpha-N G87 M2 Carbon Corse front splitter in North America. This is a true motorsport component, designed and manufactured in Germany using pre-preg carbon fiber sourced from Italy. Developed through CAD modeling, CFD airflow simulation, and real-world track testing, this splitter goes far beyond aesthetics.

Unlike traditional front lips, the Corse splitter extends significantly underneath the front bumper to generate real aerodynamic load. By creating a pressure differential between the upper and lower airflow zones, it increases front-end downforce, improving grip, steering response, and high-speed stability.

With both M2 builds complete, we had another major first. The very first set of BBS G9X M5 FI-R wheels to arrive in the US, finished in a one-of-one Ceramica finish, made their debut on our G99 M5 Touring. The lightweight 21-inch setup completely transformed the car’s presence.

The G99 was also equipped with the full Trevora aero program, including front splitter, front duct extension trims, side skirts, rear diffuser, and roof spoiler, all constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber. Trevora represents a new direction in modular aero development. Learn more about Trevora here.

Before the main event, the team at Bimmer Invasion hosted their industry night on Thursday. This invite-only gathering allows a select group of builds to be displayed in a more intimate setting. It’s always one of the best opportunities to connect with others in the industry and take in some of the cleanest cars before the full show. We showcased our G99 M5, F87 M2, and G87 M2 during the event, caught up with friends, and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Saturday was showtime.

The team behind Bimmer Invasion continues to set the standard for BMW events in the US. The show was well organized, packed to capacity, and full of energy from start to finish.

This year, we had the opportunity to showcase two special guest brands at our booth. First was MMX Performance, where IND serves as the North American distributor. Their display stood out immediately, featuring a full G8X rear subframe assembled with their components, giving visitors a rare look at the engineering behind the product.

We also welcomed the team from Trevora, marking the beginning of our North American distribution partnership. Their latest G87 M2 aero development components were on display and quickly became a highlight for attendees.

Shows like this are a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about the cars. It’s about the people, the process, and pushing ourselves to build something better every single time.
