3D Design G30 5-Series Debut

Since its inception, the 5 Series has combined legendary BMW performance with a level of refinement that knows no equal. In keeping true to form, the G30 5 Series has taken that reputation to new heights, showing breakthrough advances in technology, driving dynamics and efficiency. As such, the bar for the aftermarket to create components that match or exceed these advances has been raised as well.

The Japan based company 3D Design has been a mainstay in the aftermarket space, developing purposefully designed aftermarket components for generations of BMW chassis and beyond. The 3D Design aero program for the G30 5 Series features a robust line of accessories including a front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler and roof spoiler. In true spirit of 3D Design’s commitment to quality, GFRP—a vacuum processed material (Resin Transfer Molding) that copes with temperature changes and proportion far better than its FRP equivalent—has been utilized on both the side skirt and rear diffuser pieces. An assuredly perfect fitment with every G30 enhancement reflects 3D’s impeccable attention to detail, ensuring not only a smooth installation from start to finish, but also a lasting impression.

Naturally, 3D Design’s goal goes far beyond enhancing the exterior of any given platform. In addition to the aforementioned aerodynamic components, 3D Design has crafted their trademark exhaust for the G30 5 Series—a high-quality stainless steel system mated to quad 90mm tips—providing an aggressive, yet elegant appearance that perfectly compliments their striking rear diffuser.
