The IND E82 1M Painted Side Marker Set replaces the chrome side marker housings on the E82 1M with a painted finish, in gloss black, Alpine White, Black Sapphire or Valencia Orange, for a cleaner, more aggressive fender line.
Each set is built on genuine BMW side marker cores, painted in-house at IND, with optional clear, light or dark tinted LED indicators. Availability is limited while BMW produces new tooling for the cores.

What Is the Pre-Applied Gtechniq EXOv5 Coating Option?
Gtechniq EXOv5 is a protective ceramic coating available as an optional upgrade for IND painted components.
When selected, the coating is professionally applied by a trained IND technician after the component has completed our painting and quality-control process and before the order is shipped.
The coating creates a hydrophobic protective layer over the painted surface, helping maintain its appearance and making routine cleaning easier.
Benefits of Ceramic Coating
- Water Repellency: Creates a hydrophobic surface that encourages water to bead and roll off.
- Easier Cleaning: Reduces the tendency of dirt, road grime, and other contaminants to adhere to the surface.
- UV and Environmental Resistance: Provides an additional layer of protection against environmental exposure.
- Chemical Resistance: Helps protect the finish against common environmental contaminants, including road salt and bird droppings, when properly maintained.
- Enhanced Appearance: Can improve surface gloss and visual depth while helping preserve the painted finish.
What Ceramic Coating Does Not Protect Against
Ceramic coating is not a substitute for paint protection film (PPF).
While it provides useful surface protection and makes maintenance easier, it does not reliably prevent rock chips, deep scratches, or damage from physical impacts.
For customers seeking impact protection, PPF remains the more appropriate solution.
Important: Ceramic coating does not correct existing paint color differences or guarantee an exact match between IND painted components and your vehicle's original finish.
